Industriearchitektur als Kathedrale

Ausgangspunkt der Gestaltung war die Architektur des RAW-Geländes selbst. Bei der ersten Begehung wirkten die großen Industriefenster der Halle fast sakral, wie die Fensterfronten einer Kirche. Diese Assoziation bildete den gestalterischen Kern des Konzepts.

Die markanten Fensteröffnungen wurden gestalterisch als moderne Kirchenfenster interpretiert, angelehnt an den Stil klassischer Bleiverglasung. Geschwungene, kurvige Formen griffen dabei die Ästhetik von Rampen und Halfpipes auf und verliehen den Kirchenfenstern eine Dynamik, die direkt von der Skate Welt inspiriert war. Intensive Farbflächen und mosaikartig aufgebaute Formen ließen die Fenster wie farbige Glasmalerei wirken, popig, leuchtend und dennoch mit der strengen, geordneten Struktur echter Kirchenfenster.
