About Me
I’m Michael Weingart, also known as Mischka, a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin.
My artistic practice began with graphic experiments in public spaces. Working with tape as an artistic medium became a defining element of my early work. Simple lines and geometric structures gradually evolved into complex murals and later into large-scale spatial installations.
What continues to inspire me is the ability to transform the perception of a space through relatively simple means. Lines, materials and structures can redefine architecture and create a new sense of movement and depth.
Over time, my work has evolved from two-dimensional compositions into immersive installations that engage entire spaces through perspective, tension and spatial perception.
Artistic Practice
Today, I work with a wide range of materials including tape, paint, wood, concrete, metal, acrylic glass, lighting and sculptural elements.
The choice of materials is always driven by the specific space and the concept behind each project. Their interaction creates works that are both graphic and spatial while integrating naturally into their surroundings.
Many of my installations emerge from a direct dialogue with the existing architecture. Walls, ceilings and structural elements become part of the artwork and shape the overall spatial experience together with the chosen materials.
Collaboration
Alongside my independent artistic practice, I collaborate with companies, agencies and institutions to develop site-specific art projects.
These collaborations result in custom art concepts for workplaces, brand environments, events and public spaces.
The goal is to shape spaces visually and create an atmosphere that goes beyond decoration.
Every collaboration begins with a conversation about the project's objectives. Based on these goals, I develop an artistic concept tailored to the intended use of the space and its context. This is followed by visualizations, production planning and the final on-site installation.
The result is an art project that combines artistic quality with professional project management.
