Artistic event floor design
To celebrate Sanofi's 20th anniversary, a large-scale floor design was created for the event area. The existing key visual of the event, a 20 composed of graphic forms, was translated into a unique design language and further developed into a concept that spans the entire space.
From Key Visual to Space
The starting point for the design was the event's key visual, a 20 composed of colorful, graphic shapes, which had been specially developed for the anniversary in Berlin. During the concept phase, this key visual was broken down into its individual geometric forms.
In the next step, these forms were rearranged and woven into a large-scale floor artwork that stretched across the entire event area. The surface of a single key visual thus became a room-filling composition in the tape art style.
The design also played with the reflections of the space, for example in the black surface of the reception desk, where the forms were refracted and doubled a second time. The design of the window surfaces took the concept into another dimension. Finally, the floor design made visitors themselves part of the artwork as soon as they entered the room and moved among the forms.

A guidance system using color and shape
Especially in the entrance area, the accumulation of composite forms created numerous focal points that guided visitors as soon as they entered the space. From there, lines led to the next station, thus developing into a visual guidance system throughout the entire event area.
The various areas of the event were thus intuitively connected without the need for individual decorative elements. The graphic design united the floor and glass surfaces into a consistent visual presentation, creating a unifying theme for the entire event.
Order in a riot of color
Bold colors and clean lines were reminiscent of confetti. These were broken up by transparent areas. Connecting lines brought a sense of calm back to the composition and held the individual sections together. The result was a design language that, while playful, nevertheless followed a unified order.
The result was a temporary spatial design that combined orientation, identity and atmosphere, giving Sanofi's 20th anniversary a distinctive visual framework.
