Window design for an office building

A window design in the style of tape art was created for the glass facade of an office building. A technical pattern serves as a privacy screen and simultaneously reflects the company's digital field of activity.

A network of forms

]init[ develops digital solutions for its clients, so the design itself was intended to have a technical feel. A network of interacting geometric shapes stretched across the window surfaces. The repeated lines within each shape created a dense interplay that, in places, appeared organic.
Varying distances between the lines added dynamism to the shapes.

This network of lines was punctuated by individual, colorfully designed freeform shapes, which lent a playful touch to the otherwise dense network. These shapes incorporated the CI t colors of ]init[, a rich orange and a simple gray, which stood out as calm patches of color amidst the technical line structure.

This resulted in a visual language that reflected the company's digital field of activity through the technical appearance of the forms, while the colors of the freeform shapes made the corporate identity visible.

Art with a function

Besides its aesthetic appeal, the design fulfilled an important functional purpose. Since some employees work with sensitive data, the glass facade had to protect against views from the street without blocking daylight.

The solution lay in the recurring pattern itself. The regular repetition of the shapes with recurring gaps makes it significantly more difficult for eyes and cameras to focus precisely on individual screens in the background. The pattern thus acts as a kind of visual distraction, hindering unwanted recordings without completely obstructing the view into the building.

Architecture, brand and function in harmony

The result is a window design that does far more than mere decoration. It makes the ]init[ brand visible on the facade, creates privacy in the office area, and simultaneously allows sufficient daylight into the rooms. Aesthetics, function, and corporate identity thus merge into a harmonious overall concept.
